Who collects payment when a purchase is made?
Photograph Ireland collects the payments. All items on our website are sold by Photograph Ireland.
How much is the commission a photographer receives?
Photographers receive 20% of the displayed selling price of each item for sale.
When are commissions paid?
Commission payments are sent to the photographers Stripe account or bank account each Thursday.
There is a 2 week roling payment schedule. This means one of your items is sold in week 1, commission payment will be available to withdraw in week 3.
Why does it take 2 weeks for my commission to become available?
We have set a 2 week limit on commission payments to allow for production and delivery time of sold items and in case of refunds.
Do I get a commission if a buyer is refunded?
No, if a buyer is refunded, you do not get paid a commission on that sale.
If 2 or more of your items were purchased in the same order, and the refund of a partial refund, you will still be paid commission on the non-refunded items in the order.
Setting up Stripe Payments
I don’t have a stripe account?
No problem, you can quickly set one up from your Photographers Dashboard.
In your dashboard, find the Store Settings > Billing menu and choose ‘Stripe Connect’ from the list of payment methods. Then click on the Connect to Stripe button.
If you don’t have a stripe account, you can choose to create an account.
When you are finished creating an account, it will will be connect to your Photograph Ireland account ready to receive your commission payments.
Connecting your exasiting Stripe Account.
In your dashboard, find the Store Settings > Billing menu and choose ‘Stripe Connect’ from the list of payment methods. Then click on the Connect to Stripe button.
Sign into your stripe account and agree to the terms.
Your Stripe account will now be linked with your Photograph Ireland account ready to accept commission payments.
Setting up Bank Account for payments.
In your dashboard, go to Store Settings > Billing, and choose ‘Direct Bank’ from the dropdown list.
Enter your banking details in the fields provided:
Bank Type: Savings or Current/Checking (required)
Bank Name: Example: Bank of Ireland (required)
ABA Routing: for banks in USA
Currency: Example, EUR, USD, GBP
Bank Address: The address of your banks branch
IBAN: The IBAN number for your bank account
Account Name: The name of the person who holds the bank account (usually your name)
Account Number: Usually between 8 and 12 digits depending on the bank and bank location.
Non-Euro Bank Payments – Exchange Rates
Payments to bank accounts that are non-Euro (USD, GBP etc) will be paid at the current exchange rate on the day of payment.
